2007 has been a great year and 2008 is shaping up to be even greater. I'm mostly speaking about Refresh Partners, the marketing agency that Colin Smillie and I started in mid 2007 to focus on social networking marketing. Most of our clients are larger marketing agencies who are contracted by consumer brands for specific campaigns, but we do have a fair bit of entrepreneurs who come to us with great ideas. I saw Leonard Brody today at his Toronto Venture Group presentation on his latest book entitled 'Everything I needed to know about business...I learned from a Canadian'.
I came in late, so I had to sit in the back of the room at the last free table. Luckily the only other person sitting with me was Leonard waiting to be summoned up to speak. At first, I was intrigued by the guy sitting next to me as he didn't look like he fit in with the rest of the bankers in the expensive suits in the room. He was wearing a corduroy jacket and his hair was spiked.
