2007 has been a great year and 2008 is shaping up to be even greater. I'm mostly speaking about Refresh Partners, the marketing agency that Colin Smillie and I started in mid 2007 to focus on social networking marketing.
Most of our clients are larger marketing agencies who are contracted by consumer brands for specific campaigns, but we do have a fair bit of entrepreneurs who come to us with great ideas. While we normally can't discuss the projects with the consumer brands because of NDAs, I wanted to share some of the other projects that we have been engaged with.
 | Who's Hot? is a global tournament to find the hottest people on Facebook. Users rate one another in one-on-one style game and everyone is assigned a rank at the end of the day. If you see someone you like, you can send them message as well as virtual gifts. |
 | That Was Me! What did you look like in High School or University?
Search for your friends and classmates and see their old photos. Then load your old photos to show them how you used to look like. |
 | The Pet Food Testing Facebook Application was developed to help ensure the safety of pet food. The goal is to test the food that you are feeding your pets on a regular basis so that you may have continuing confidence in it's safety and security. |
There were lots of others and of course there are current projects that aren't finished yet but are also very existing. Stay tuned.
Of course we are also planning for the next FacebookCampToronto event which we anticipate will happen in February 2008.
