I was amazed at how many qualified local candidates responded. We received over a dozen great candidates and have offered one of them the position. While I knew that Linkedin.com had a lot of great people signed up to it, I didn't think that too many Torontians knew about it. I was wrong. The percentage of qualified respondants was also higher than any other online job site. I only recieved one respondant from Mexico wanting me to move him and his family to Canada and only one Silicon Valley business-God-wanna-be that wanted the job, didn't want to move, but would solve all of my problems, just pay him on contract.
